Amelie Lens Drops ‘Serenity’ EP, Balancing Calm and Chaos
The two-track release showcases both melodic and raw techno sides of the Belgian artist
Belgian techno powerhouse Amelie Lens is back with a thrilling new release: Serenity, out now via her own EXHALE imprint. The two-track EP lands after a string of standout performances at Coachella, Time Warp, Fabrik Madrid, and the Hï Ibiza opening party — and follows the recent collaborative EP One Mind with fellow techno titan Charlotte de Witte.
Known for her precise, high-energy techno, Lens delivers two contrasting cuts that showcase different sides of her sonic identity. The title track, Serenity, is a peak-time weapon built for big rooms and warehouse moments alike, with rolling percussion, pulsing synths, and a cinematic tension that commands attention. On the flip side, Club of Extremes takes a darker, more hypnotic turn, with twisted grooves and icy vocals designed for the deeper hours of the night.
“With this new EP, I wanted to explore the tension between calm and chaos,” says Lens. “‘Serenity’ leans into a more melodic, radio-friendly space, while ‘Club of Extremes’ — which fans have been waiting on for a long time — dives straight into the raw energy of the club. It’s two sides of the same story.”
Following a year of major live milestones and acclaimed releases, Serenity reaffirms Amelie Lens’ position at the cutting edge of techno — balancing emotion, energy, and intensity in equal measure.
